How can you not love cats?
My all-time favorite meme has to be Pimp My Ride host Xzibit's "Yo dawg I herd you like cars so we put a car in yo car so you can drive while u drive". There are just so many ways to adapt it to the situation! For example, "Yo dawg we heard you like exhibits so we put Xzibit in yo exhibit so you can look at Xzibit while you exhibit Xzibit in yo exhibit".
Well, you just never know what's going to catch on as a meme, do you? "One does not simply walk into Mordor" is another fantastic example. Do you remember it? The quote comes from Peter Jackson's film adaptation of Lord of the Rings, and it was a line said by Boromir. People have done a lot of different things with it, like "One does not simply drive into Mordor", or "One does not simply wok into Mordor". Ha! Hilarious!
So, let's go out there and get some laughs with our awesome custom buttons. Here are some popular memes for you to manipulate and adapt to suit your situation.
Ermahgerd
Ermahgerd! If you've ever seen a picture of a mentally challenged (don't make fun of retards, kids; that's just wrong) young girl with her mouth agape in excitement, then you've probably seen this meme.
"Eermahgerd", of course, is a lisped pronunciation of "oh my god", so whenever you see this meme, the accompanying words are adapted to look as though they were spoken by someone with a lisp.
Be careful with this one, but in the right crowd, it will definitely get you a few laughs.
I Took An Arrow In The Knee
Here's another favorite of mine. In case you're not a gamer, this quote originated from the popular role-playing game, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The town guard NPCs (non-play characters) in the game have several canned lines that they repeat back to the player, and the sad reminiscing about taking an arrow in the knee is one of them.
This makes for a pretty funny visual, so if you're going to put together a button, make sure to show a town guard with an arrow in his knee!
Do You Even Lift?
Supposedly, this one originated from the Body Building forums. You know those silly, pointless arguments that break out in the comments section on YouTube? Yeah.
Well, I guess user Chris C shut down user bubbaT with this epic line.
This one is very customizable. You could use whatever picture you wanted, from a scary-looking gangster to a female bodybuilder (yikes!).
Grumpy Cat
This angry-looking snowshoe cat has turned up in a lot of places. Naturally, the internet being a place for cats, it's no surprise that a sarcastic, Eeyore-like character (Winnie the Pooh) would catch on.
Perhaps the most known line is "I had fun once. It was awful".
I'm sure you could come up with a few of your own.
Socially Awkward Penguin
Come on, admit it. Everybody has had some very clumsy or less-than-suave moments in social environments. And, if you're in the habit of bringing up awkward conversation topics on a regular basis, socially awkward penguin is your friend.
Here are a few examples of text accompanying the penguin macro:
"Walk into room with strangers. Walk back out."
"Sarah is online, you say 'hey'. Sarah is offline."
"You wave back. They weren't waving at you. Pretend to adjust hair."
Of course, you could probably get creative and come up with your own!
Cool Story, Bro
Are you in to shutting people down before they ever get a word in edgewise? Then this meme is for you! "Cool story, bro" is typically seen in online discussions when people can't be bothered to read a long post or comment.
Like "Do you even lift?" you could use whatever picture you want. Even your own face!
Facepalm
What's not funny about Star Trek: The Next Generation's Captain Jean-Luc Picard face-palming in dismay?
For those who think their friends are stupid, this would be great on a button. Even if not for that, it just applies to so many situations!
Success Kid/I Hate Sandcastles
The success kid macro has been used to express both victory and frustration. Basically, this meme shows a baby with a determined looking expression, clutching his fist close to his face.
Here are a few examples of text that accompany this meme:
"Don't know a question on a test. Answer is in another question."
"Late to work. Boss was even later."
"Forgets to buy food. Invited out to dinner at last moment."
If you're particularly creative, come up with your own!
Your Argument Is Invalid
This is a popular and mostly playful catchphrase often used in online discussions. I'm pretty sure you can guess what situations it's used in (though it need not be because you have a convincing counter-argument).
Here are a few laughable examples:
"This cat is pushing a watermelon out of a lake. Your argument is invalid."
"Ronald McDonald hits children. Your argument is invalid."
"My head is a lemon. Your argument is invalid."
There's plenty of room to have fun with this meme!
Advice Dog
Advice animal memes are not uncommon. This particular one features a happy-looking puppy on a multi-colored background. His advice is some of the most outrageous things you have ever heard. Consider these:
"Hire clowns. For funerals."
"Buy condoms. Wink at clerk."
"Suck helium. Defy gravity."
